FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — University of Saint Francis’s downtown music center may see some changes after it was purchased by Sweet Real Estate in early June.

WANE 15 confirmed with the Allen County Assessor’s office that Sweet Real Estate LLC, owned by Chuck Surack of Surack Enterprises, purchased the downtown property from the University of Saint Francis on June 6.

The USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, located at 431 W Berry Street, was purchased for a total of $2,000,010.

The center was unveiled back in 2018 and is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment, classrooms, individual and ensemble practice spaces, recording studios, mixing suites, a piano lab and a master studio, according to USF’s website.

The center also features a 2,000-seat auditorium, which hosts university, regional, and national acts each year.

Back in 2022, USF announced that it would work with the City of Fort Wayne to repurpose its downtown properties, including the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center.

Further information on the plans for the future of the Music Technology Center will be announced Monday at 10 a.m. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic will also be a part of the press conference Monday.
