A California home renovated by HGTV stars Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa popped up on the market recently.

She’s used to selling multimillion-dollar mansions and is finding that her upscale tastes can be both a help and a hindrance to Tarek’s signature flips.

Heather Rae apparently learned to rein in her over-the-top spending. On this second flip, she even negotiated with the builders to reduce their price.

Built in 1972, this home was infested with cockroaches and filled with junk when the El Moussas purchased it for $1,090,000 in February 2022. Mostly because of permitting delays, they did not relist the renovated residence until January 2023.

“It sold super fast at $1,635,000,” Tarek says at the end of Episode 2. “So we ended up with a total profit of $103,000.”

It’s now a beautiful five-bedroom, three-bath home with first-class finishes from top to bottom. It features wide-plank flooring throughout, remodeled and enhanced bathrooms, and a gorgeous kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, tile backsplash, stainless-steel appliances, and island and peninsula.
