Buchalter has acquired Sacramento boutique law firm Trainor Fairbrook, bumping its attorney head count to more than 40 in the River City.
The combination, effective Friday, adds six lawyers to Buchalter’s real estate and trusts and estate planning teams, including shareholders Charles “Chuck” Trainor, John Fairbrook and Colby Campbell.
The move, according to Los Angeles-headquartered Buchalter, demonstrates the Am Law 200 firm’s “continuing commitment” to Sacramento.
“These strategic additions align with our vision of expanding our capabilities in Northern California, particularly in the commercial real estate and estate planning sectors, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional legal services,” Adam Bass, Buchalter president and CEO, said in a statement.
“The exceptional talent that is Trainor Fairbrook further strengthens Buchalter’s commitment to the local market, and we look forward to their valuable contributions as we continue to expand and enhance our team,” said Jim Dyer, Buchalter CFO and Sacramento office managing shareholder, who worked as an associate at Trainor Fairbrook early in his career.
Echoing similar sentiments, Trainor also said joining Buchalter will “elevate [Trainor Fairbrook’s] ability to not only serve our clients, but also allow us to expand the types of legal services we are able to provide and our clients expect.”
