A MAN has meticulously detailed the step-by-step process of building a tiny home from start to finish, all while managing to keep the total project cost to a mere $8,000.

Many might assume that constructing a tiny home is a straightforward endeavor, but Manny’s project has shed light on the potential pitfalls and expensive errors that can arise.
He recently shared the entire process from start to finish in a video on his YouTube channel, Builders Blueprint.
Starting with careful planning and marking out the designated spot for the tiny home, the project began by leveling concrete deck blocks for the foundation.
Manny then used pressure-treated 2x6s, securing them into the grooves of the deck blocks to ensure a level base.
He meticulously ensured that all 2x6s were perfectly aligned and square, reinforcing each one with framing nails and joy hangers for added support.
“To insulate the subfloor, I opted for half 2-inch foam insulation,” Manny explained.
“It was a meticulous process, but essential for ensuring energy efficiency.”
BIGGEST CHALLENGES
“Framing the walls and roof was no easy task,” said the builder, reflecting on the challenges faced during construction.
Luckily, his neighbor Tom came over to help.
“Having an extra hand to do all the heavy lifting made a world of difference.”

After ensuring the roof was waterproof with the addition of shingles and waterproof wrap, Manny’s attention turned to installing windows and doors.
“Routing out the windows was a nightmare,” he admitted.
“It’s a pain in the a** to do in real life so I’ll probably never do it again and I don’t recommend it.

Once he was finished with that “terrible” process, it was time to install the house wrap.
With the exterior complete, Manny added siding for aesthetics, choosing boards and battens with a contemporary look.
He meticulously installed trim pieces to give the tiny home a uniform appearance and added finishing touches like paint and exterior lights.
Although the project had seemed simple, Manny warned others of the potential pitfalls.
“Building a tiny home may seem like a straightforward task, but as this project demonstrates, it requires meticulous attention to detail to achieve both affordability and quality,” he concluded.
