TikTok user Jon Beemer (@jonbeemer) says in his bio he’s a veteran and an investor and makes videos on a variety of topics, including real estate investing.

In a TikTok video, Beemer shared how he and his wife flipped a house that needed a major facelift.

FROM PURCHASE TO PROFIT

The video reveals how the couple made the flip happen and opens with a picture of the user’s wife holding up a housing sign.

Across her picture read the words, “We flipped This house.”

Below, the TikTok says, “Purchased: $50k, Rehab: $40K and Sold: $145K.”

The quick video reveals a picture of the outside of the home before remodeling.

It then goes on to show pictures of the inside getting a makeover, with before and afters of the kitchen, flooring, outside and bathroom.

Another TikTok user commented on the video, asking, “Do you use hard money or how else do you finance your deals?”

Beemer responded, writing, “I’ve used hard money, conventional, private money, etc. for flips.”

“Private or hard money seems to work best,” he added.

Another user went on to clarify the origin of the money.

They asked, “Hey bro the 50K and 40K is out of ur own pocket to flip it?” and went on to describe their financial situation as a 21 year old.

“I invested $0 in this deal,” Beemer responded back. “I matched private investors with hard money on this deal so $0 down is possible.”

The couple has a series of videos on the user’s channel depicting their rehabbing projects.

HOME HACKS

Given the large sums of money required and expertise needed, real estate can be a high-risk and high-reward investment.

Another person who had success flipping a house is Adriel Hsu, a former engineer from Texas.

As he revealed in a TikTok (@adrielhsu) video, he bought a run-down home for $43,000.

In his case, refurbishing the entire house was crucial to making a profit on the flip.

He spent $68,000 completely transforming the property until it was barely recognizable.

Plus, a man bought a cute home for $260,000 and flipped it for $1.2 million.

And a solo investor made $46,000 on a $44,000 house and showed how you can do it too.
