Alejandro Gordano has rejoined Shearman & Sterling as a capital markets partner in its Latin America group, based in New York. He joins from Linklaters.
Morgan Lewis has brought in a five-partner transactional restructuring and bankruptcy litigation team led by Richard Stern and including Michael Luskin, Stephan Hornung, Matthew O’Donnell, and Alex Talesnick. The team joins from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. In addition, the firm has hired Michael McCarthy as a partner in its real estate group. He also joins from Strook, where he was a partner.

Wilson Elser has hired partner Kristen Carroll. Previously, she served as an assistant district attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in the Appeals Bureau.
Jonathan Homer has joined Troutman Pepper’s corporate practice group as a partner. He was formerly with Gibson Dunn.
David Feldman
Phillips Nizer has added David Feldman as a partner to its employment & labor practice. He joins from Falcon Rappaport & Berkman, where he founded its labor & employment practice.
The American Bar Association has appointed Luis Martinez as co-chair of its International Law Section’s International Arbitration Committee.
Rob Brown
Sheppard Mullin has added Rob Brown as its firm-wide chief operating officer. He was previously co-executive director at Shearman & Sterling.
Steve Errick has joined the American Arbitration Association-International Centre for Dispute Resolution as senior vice president and chief development officer.
Edward McCabe
Edward McCabe has joined Sahn Ward Braff Koblenz as a partner in the firm’s Suffolk County office. Prior to joining, he managed his own law practice. His father, the late Edward G. McCabe, was a former chief administrative judge of the Nassau County Courts, and special counsel at Sahn Ward.
Baker McKenzie has hired corporate lawyer Steven Sandretto as a partner in the firm’s US-based Latin America team.
Authors Guild, the oldest and largest professional organization for published writers in the United States, has added Kevin Amer as its new chief legal officer. He previously held senior roles at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Copyright Office.

Raymond Pruchnicki has joined the real estate and hospitality firm Zeidel & Associates as senior counsel. He was previously with Gozdecki, Del Giudice, Americus, Farkas & Brocato in Chicago.
Bracewell has hired Scott Le Bouef and Brian Rogers as partners. They both join from Stroock & Stroock & Lavan where Le Bouef was a member of the commodities and derivatives group and Rogers was co-chair of the debt finance practice.
